摘要: The effect of E.C.T. and imipramine on the extracellular fluid volume twenty-eight patients suffering from primary depressive disorders was studied by means a modified thiocyanate method clinical rating scale. There an overall correlation between decrease symptom score increase that significant at .05 level, but not when two series (E.C.T. 18, 10) were taken separately. Twenty gained weight, amounts small, with non-significant. findings discussed relation to previous work sodium metabolism water balance disorders, thought support idea shift intracellular spaces underlies response as well demonstration divergent subgroup might be nosological significance.
