摘要: An extensive bloom (250 000 km2) of the coccolithophore Emiliania huxleyi developed in northeast Atlantic June 1991. At time observations late June, centre was charactensed by low concentrations chlorophyll a (c 1 mg n r 3 ) and particulate organic carbon ( 70 %) variability surface rates calcification. Estimates calcification derived from model are consistent with previously reported data compatible measured stocks PIC duration as revealed satellite imagery.
