摘要: This monograph examines the ideological legacy of metaphors, "mother tongue" and "native speaker," by historicizing their linguistic development. Early nation states constructed ideology ethnolinguistic nationalism, a composite national language, identity, geography, race that generated philologies (early) modernity genetic arboreal "families" languages. Enracination language persists today. Scholarly recognition biological metaphors racialize will help to combat continued discrimination.
