摘要: OBJECTIVE: The findings of magnetic resonance and x-ray angiography were compared for assessment coronary artery stenosis in this validation study. BACKGROUND: Magnetic the arteries has recently been described, but there no comparison with localisation or important characteristics stenosis. METHODS: A breath hold, segmented k-space, 2D gradient echo imaging technique incorporating fat suppression was used 39 patients (55 stenoses) known disease. RESULTS: Overall, 47 stenoses (85%) assessed by (29 33 left anterior descending artery, one main stem, 14 17 right three four circumflex detected). There close agreement between distance from arterial origin (magnetic mean (SD) 27 (16) mm versus mm, P = NS, difference -0.2 mm). to (83%) agreed within 5 increased scatter more distal stenoses. severity signal loss, visually at site stenosis, varied significantly according percentage diameter (F 30, < 0.0001); severe loss 89 (7)%, partial 70 (16)%, irregular wall only 37 (11)%, significant differences among groups (P 0.001). correlation found proportional (r -0.67, 0.0001). length measured (6 (3) mm) greater than (5 (2) 0.006, +1.1 Spearman's rank test showed that overestimation as (rs 0.34, 0.02). CONCLUSIONS: Accurate a qualitative are possible resonance, is overestimated increases, probably because disturbed patterns flow turbulence Reasonable results detection achieved highly selected population, further progress techniques necessary before moving towards appreciable clinical application.
