摘要: Abstract The effect of the addition several hydrophobic substrates (hexadecane, industrial wastewater with a high content unpolar hydrocarbons, silicone antifoaming agent and dodecylbenzenesulfonate) on growth Nocardia amarae in activated sludge was investigated bench scale sewage treatment plants at different F/M ratios readily degradable substrate. In all cases this found to enhance competitional success N. within biocenosis as compared controls. most pronounced low ratios. Possible reasons are discussed. They include utilizability these selectively available food but also physical effects that increase mean cell residence time actinomycetes.
