摘要: Abstract Tight-skin mice develop hypertrophy of connective tissue and tendons, associated with increases in collagen concentration skin, heart, lungs, tail. The bladders from these have not previously been examined. Because the purported importance bladder wall structure compliance, we examined content, micturition characteristics, length-tension relationships tight-skin mice. Bladder content were approximately 70% greater 5-6 month than age-matched controls, but mass, protein similar. urinated larger volumes more frequently during light cycle, functional capacity appeared to be that controls. There was a small shift right passive curves strips mice, statistically significant. magnitude active tension development same. data suggest does necessarily determine or compliance. It is suggested other factors, such as ratio subtypes collagemelastin may for maintenance distension.
