摘要: The vegetation colonizing dredge spoil is described from the first year following massive beach nourishment. Dredge was deposited in late 1990 gulfward of mean high water on Perdido Key, a harrier Island off coast Florida panhandle, for distance 8 km and averaging 150 m width. A grid permanent plots used to measure density cover species. With 997 plants per ht Summer 1991. Cakile constricta most abundant ten species spoil. Other with more that 50 were Uniola paniculata , lva imbruata, Panicum amarum Oenothera humifusa . Sand fencing 10 15 below old increased U. Maps C. construct show highest densities adjacent water. new strand line establishing just above mark May 1991 lost overwashing spring storms. Canonical Correspondence Analvsis compare data main island Vegetation colonization closely resembled species-rich or low developing dune vegetation. precarious nature onto during deposition indicates additional not advisable several years.
