Using PseudoGravity to Attract People: An Automated Approach to Engaging a Target Audience using Twitter

摘要: We introduce the PseudoGravity tool, an automated social media system that establishes a presence in area of interest target audience, identifies users are open to connect, engages with them, and elicits complex response time investment from them. In this work, we use Twitter as platform extensive survey activity requiring investment. evaluate tool by using it find challenging – science fiction authors compare its results other methods online surveys. 28 months, account managed achieved more than 12,000 followers, monthly Tweet Impressions 250,000. The also high rate 71% completion 83% compared 30% 47% typical surveys, numbers words characters entered for questions required free text input. addition, work successfully surveyed 500 writers gained new understandings challenges e-publishing is bringing their profession.
