摘要: Ten adult male spotted deer were monitored over a 2-year interval to determine seasonal variations in testicular size, semen characteristics and serum testosterone concentrations, if there was an association between season type of antler. Mean (+/-S.E.M.) volume (118.8+/-4.6 cm(3)), concentration (1.2+/-0.1 ng/mL), (4.1+/-0.6 mL), sperm (338.3+/-24.9 x 10(6) mL(-1)), percentage morphologically normal (79.1+/-2.8%), motile (66.5+/-1.5%) higher (P<0.05) hard antler (peaked from March May) than with velvet antlers or which the has been shed. Thus, March-May considered physiologic breeding for these deer; at this time, all stags had antlers. Furthermore, Tris-citrate-based extender containing 4% glycerol 20% egg-yolk adequate cryopreservation semen. Estrus induced implant norgestomet, timed transcervical AI done fresh semen, 3 10 females pregnant 60 days, fawns born 120 (premature), 240 243 days after AI. These results model use assisted reproductive techniques conserve other critically endangered species India.
