摘要: Presently, the world is considering renewable solar energy as an indispensable/long-term/naturefriendly option for power generation. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A) blessed with considerable amount radiation. Commercial/residential buildings in K.S.A. consume about 10–45% total electric energy. In present paper, economic analysis utilization hybrid PV–diesel-battery systems to meet load a typical residential building (with annual electrical demand 35,120 kWh) different provinces/zones has been studied by analyzing long-term radiation data. Five geographically distinct sites representing provinces have selected. monthly average daily varies from 3.03–7.51 kWh/m 2 . NREL's (HOMER Energy's) HOMER software employed perform analysis. simulation results indicate that system composed 4 kWp PV together 10 kW diesel and battery storage 3 h autonomy (equivalent three hours load), penetration 22%., 21%, 22%, 20%, 20% at Abha (Southern Province), Hofuf (Eastern Qurayat (Northern Taif (Western Riyadh (Central Province) respectively. cost generating (COE, US$/kWh) above found be 0.179 $/kWh, 0.178 0.180 0.181 $/kWh Abha, Hofuf, Qurayat, Taif, For given system, higher Sourthern Northern Province compared other provinces. Also, study examined impact on: carbon emissions (Tons/year), fuel consumption, Net Present Cost, energy, etc. Furthermore, configuration (for exhibits increase capacity decrease diesel-fuel-consumption/carbon-emissions COE./NPC/excess-energy.
