摘要: Design and manufacture of mechanical elements are strongly influenced by the evaluation residual stresses due to their effects on material strength. This paper presents numerical experimental results performed AW 6082-T6 aluminum alloy drilled specimens when hole is created after a bilateral indentation process. The plastic deformation induced indenters creates compressive stress field around hole, which persists drilling operation. Several analysis have been carried out in ANSYS APDL explicit solver for different depths diameters order evaluate circumferential stresses, optimal process parameters relevant geometric features. Fatigue tests determine cycles failure corresponding Wohler diagram.
