摘要: This chapter will summarize novel understandings of the early molecular events in prostatic carcinogenesis that may underlie both genetic and clinical heterogeneity. Areas covered include preneoplasia, stem cell concepts, telomere abnormalities, nature tumor-stromal interactions. The oncogenomics prostate cancer is reviewed with emphasis on androgen signaling, ETS gene family aberrations, PTEN deletion. notion "field cancerization," coupled genomic instability explain occurrence multifocal disease, recent observations diversity ERG alteration individual tumors are discussed. Collectively, studies rapidly moving human closer to promise personalized medicine, so specific profiles determine best therapeutic approaches.
