摘要: Objectives. Identify the frequency and risk factors of leptospirosis outbreak in locality residence an index case with icterohemorrhagic syndrome. Material methods. Were interviewed examined children teenagers from area who frequented a common source infection between January February, 2004. All them were screened for using IgM-ELISA microscopic agglutination test (MAT), PCR culture. Results. enrolled 77 subjects 2 to 18 years old, only 21 (27.3%) confirmed cases. The signs symptoms cases fever, headache, myalgia, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting anorexia. Three presented jaundice, bleeding renal failure. presence contact underground water (OR=3.26, 95%IC 1.22 8.72), dogs (OR = 5.63, 1.40 22.63) identified as significant associated leptospirosis. Conclusions. It was new epidemiological context related by same source. This data will allow expand knowledge about this disease well consider important cause acute febrile disease.
