摘要: A fully quantum-mechanical theory of infrared-reflection spectroscopy from adsorbate-covered metal surfaces is presented. In contrast to our earlier semiclassical [B. N. J. Persson and A. I. Volokitin, Surf. Sci. 310, 314 (1994)], which valid only for parallel vibrational modes atomic adsorbates, the present applicable arbitrary dipole-forbidden modes. It shown that a with broad conduction band, asymmetry line shape adsorbate determined essentially by nonlocal optics effects, negligible contribution nonadiabaticity. The in good agreement experimental data.
