Septal perforations closure utilizing the backwards extraction-reposition technique of the quadrangular cartilage.

摘要: Nasal septal perforations are anatomical defects of the nasal septum, causing dynamic alterations in physiology which may lead to variable symptoms and otolaryngological referral. Repair continues remain a difficult surgical problem, nowadays there is no definitive solution for their successful closure. Thirty patients with small- or medium-sized anterior were treated simple technique backwards extraction-reposition quadrangular cartilage. Prior surgery repeated cautery most common cause perforation. After minimum follow-up two years success rate relief closure perforation was 87 per cent. This showed very good results small-sized selected cases perforations, but mucosal dissection employed not suitable medium large perforations.
