摘要: Knowledge concerning the temporal relationship between adverse experiences and onset of anxiety depressive disorders remains sparse despite life stress forming a pivotal component to social, neurological cognitive science models their aetiology. In this study two groups married women were selected through shared experiences; for one group, marital partner had recently died, in second experienced myocardial infarction. These assessed close proximity event again approximately 3 months later. Adaptations both Longitudinal Interval Follow-up Evaluation Life Event Difficulty Schedule used provide detailed clinical history preceding following experiences. Analysis showed clear evidence progressive decay effects events over time; an attribute thus far largely neglected work seeking clarify event–illness relationships. Comparisons fixed time-varying effects, representative precisely formulated vulnerability/resilience, confirmed role previous psychiatric consultation limited individual coping skills as risk factors diagnosable disorder. Improvements specification modelling procedures should facilitate integration ideas from competing aetiological subsequent course
