Microstructures and Wear Resistance of Si-Al-Y Co-Deposition Coatings on γ-TiAl Alloy

摘要: Si-Al-Y co-deposition coatings on γ-TiAl alloy were prepared by pack cementation process at 1050°C for 3 h, Scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS), diffractometer(XRD) and microhardness tester employed to investigate the surface morphologies, element distributions, microstructures, phase constitutions of coatings. Friction-wear tests substrate conducted in air ambient temperature. The results show that coating co-depositing had a multiple layer structure: outer was composed TiSi2, TiSi, Ti5Si4, Ti5Si3, middle TiAl3, TiAl2, inner Al rich layer. is up 1538HK0.49.The wear mass loss only one half as much matrix, resistance increases significantly.
