摘要: Flotation is one of the main concentration processes being employed for many classes minerals (sulfides, oxides, silicates, phosphates, example) at different particle sizes. In iron ore industry, reverse quartz flotation has been successfully sizes below ISOfim after desliming process. The high demand products made process in this thus a better understanding its mechanisms and effect become imperative. tests were carried out with three size fractions an itabirite ore, obtained using cyclone classification desliming. results showed distinct behaviors ranges. Higher etheramine dosages are required when coarse fine floated separately also procedure more sensitive to variations pH values. differences distributions specific surface area may explain behavior fractions. split circuits particles indicated increase 3% points metallurgical recovery reduction SiO2 content final concentrate, dosage corn starch dosage. Economic feasibility analysis positive net present value 50 million dollars particles, considering production 10 tons per year pellet feed.
