摘要: Ventricular hypertrabeculation (noncompaction) is a poorly characterized condition associated with heart failure. The widely assumed to be the retention of trabeculated ventricular design embryo and ectothermic (cold-blooded) vertebrates. This assumption appears simplistic counterfactual. Here, we measured set anatomical parameters in man ventricles embryos animals. We compared humans left (N=21) structurally normal (N=54). ejection fraction trabeculation using cardiovascular MRI. was further series embryonic human 9 animal species, hearts 15 adult species MRI, CT, or histology. In human, hypertrabeculated were significantly different from by all structural measures fraction. They far less than (15-40% volume versus 55-80%). Early development vertebrate acquired ventricle approximately 80% trabeculations, but only ectotherms retained throughout development. Endothermic (warm-blooded) animals including slowly matured fetal postnatal stages towards little generally 30%. Further, trabeculations very thin, 50 μm wide, whereas endotherms setting wider orders magnitude. It concluded contrast prevailing assumption, not like ectotherms. article part Special Issue entitled: Cardiomyocyte Biology: Integration Developmental Environmental Cues Heart edited Marcus Schaub Hughes Abriel.
