摘要: Exact geometric description, numerical analysis and comparison of microscopic objects such as the frustules diatoms are increasing importance in basic research (e.g. functional morphology, taxonomy biogeochemistry). Similarly, applied product development fields lightweight construction nanotechnology can benefit from machine-readable data structures. This paper presents a new method to combine scanning electron microscopy confocal laser microscopy to generate exact three-dimensional models diatom frustules. We propose obtain high quality mesh for subsequent through finite element analysis, example, biomechanical on A specific value universal tool describe compare is introduced. Our approach improves precision three-dimensional reconstructions, but generation usable meshes complex based techniques requires either transformation grid points into elements or smoothing algorithms. Biomechanical analyses differently obtained indicate that more reconstructions lead realistic results.
