摘要: Abstract When a mutant, temperature-sensitive in the potassium-dependent RNase II, was cultured at 43 °C, cell growth became linear, and ribosomal precursors of 30 s 50 particles accumulated, former containing immature 17 form 16s RNA. In vitro, purified II or extracts promoted transition RNA to 16 form. The took place with release fragment that behaves as if somewhat larger than 4 s. If mutant were first heated inactivate potassium ions left out incubation mixtures, suppressed. From accumulation both action enzyme it is suggested that: (1) another co-purified also N464, required make mature from precursor RNA; (2) vivo active ribosomes; (3) either during formation 23 RNA, ribosomes help ribosomes.
