摘要: The presence of hydrophobic sites in fetuin, ovine submaxillary mucin and two homogeneous canine tracheal mucins was established by fluorescence probe techniques. interaction between the above-mentioned glycoproteins fluorescent compounds, sodium mansate mansylphenylalanine, accompanied an enhancement a shift maxima to shorter wavelengths. introduction phenylalanine residue mansyl group enhanced binding affinity for these as evidenced lower values dissociation constants. high molecular weight (581 600) mucin, which had highest carbohydrate content (80%) all investigated, exhibited largest number probes.
