Testing of susceptibility of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to pyrazinamide: comparison of Bactec method with pyrazinamidase assay.

摘要: The susceptibility of 428 clinical isolates Mycobacterium tuberculosis to pyrazinamide was assessed by the Bactec method and Wayne pyrazinamidase assay. correlation between two tests 98.2 100% for susceptible resistant strains, respectively. False resistance seen in four (0.8%) strains with test, false-susceptible results occurred (0.5%) assays. test is rapid reliable, correlate well results, although some did not grow medium.
