Benchmarking of Mexican ports with data envelopment analysis

摘要: The paper focuses on measuring the efficiency of 29 Mexican coastal ports using data envelopment analysis (DEA) approach. Most perform cargo and cruise handling operations. We suggested combined individual operations to an evaluation port efficiency. results DEA showed 59% analysed were efficient when considered, 29% considering only 31% exclusively. There was one that proved be in all analyses. Furthermore, future performed for with operations, proving provides insightful information needed decision-makers analyse different feasible scenarios support long term investment plans.
