摘要: Landraces of tetraploid and hexaploid wheat from the Northern Negev in Israel were evaluated over two years for their grain quality attributes. Twenty-one populations (Triticum durum, represented by 56 accessions) 8 (T. aestivum T. compactum, 13 compared with 3 4 modern improved Israeli cultivars reheat, respectively. This comparison allowed to estimate progress made improvement gram m present-day cultivars. Except protein content hexaploids, significant variation was revealed among landraces kernel weight, (tetraploids), sedimentation, mixograph score carotin content. The best comparable weight indicating that breeding maximized content, as tested landraces. Gram and/or not its deemed possible introgression this respect.
