摘要: In many industrialized nations, the elderly comprise fastest growing subpopulation and constitute an increasing proportion of total population compared to other age groups. The use a disproportionately larger amount health care resources since they experience higher incidence disease-related morbidities, consume more drugs, are subject extensive multiple medication regimens, account for adverse drug events. response great demand geriatric pharmacotherapy, pharmaceutical industry has targeted drugs elderly. However, too often excluded from clinical trials on primarily destined their consumption. Comprehensive analyses assess participation subjects in needed design implement that will enhance safety efficacy intended this pharmacologically sensitive subpopulation.
