摘要: Abstract Opisthorchiasis is caused by infection with Opisthorchis viverrini liver fluke. Humans are infected ingestion of raw cyprinid fish contaminated metacercariae. From histories opisthorchiasis patients it has been found that most them had consumed salad or fermented dishes. However, some have no history eating uncooked fish. We, therefore, focused on the possibility disease transmission via contamination kitchenware Thus, present study investigated effect common household cleaning solutions and disinfectants viability infectivity O. viverrini Metacercariae were divided into six treatment groups exposed to four different (Sunlight®, OMO®, Virkon® Dettol®), dry condition, 0.85% NaCl (control). metacercariae in each assigned group observed for active, inactive degraded after exposure 1, 10 30 min. Dettol® be effective solution: 98.66% degraded, 100% inhibition movement (100% inactive), 0% results other treatments were: (degraded 24%, 82.67%, recovery 9.33%), condition 0%, 100%, 12%), Sunlight® 12%, 80%, 20%) OMO® 5.33%, 81.33%, 25.33%). did not cause degradation but result inactivation all findings suggest 4.8% solution can kill This information may useful when choosing kitchen products, could contribute prevention fluke infection.
