摘要: PROLACTIN IS A PITUITARY HORMONE that plays a pivotal role in variety of reproductive functions. Hyperprolactinemia is common condition can result from number causes, including medication use and hypothyroidism as well pituitary disorders. Depending on the cause consequences hyperprolactinemia, selected patients require treatment. The underlying cause, sex, age status must be considered. We describe diagnostic approach management hyperprolactinemia various clinical settings, with emphasis newer strategies therapeutic options, treatment selective dopamine agonists.
