Effects of heat treatment on microstructure of directionally solidified Ti-45Al-8Nb-(W, B, Y) alloy

摘要: The effects of heat treatments on typical microstructures directionally solidified (DS) Ti-45Al-8Nb-(W, B, Y) (molar fraction, %) alloys prepared by the Bridgeman method were studied. Two DS including full lamellae with cellular growth morphology and massive structure dendritic examined. results show that treatment 1250℃ for 24 h+900℃ 30 min+air cooling can efficiently eliminate B2 phase in change rapid alloy into lamellar microstructure. Columnar colonies widths 150-200 μm 50-100 respectively observed intercellular arm regions. 1400℃ 12 could simultaneously remove phase, solidification segregations from alloys, however, it caused severe grains.
