摘要: Expression of the lung resistance protein (LRP) is associated with to various anticancer drugs including melphalan and, therefore, may affect clinical outcome in multiple myeloma (MM). To determine significance LRP, we have compared LRP expression bone marrow plasma cells parameters response chemotherapy and survival previously untreated patients MM (n = 72). immunocytochemically assessed by means LRP-56 monoclonal antibody was positive (≥10% staining cells) 44 (61%) samples. There no correlation between age, sex, type paraprotein, serum creatinine, stage, β2-microglobulin, lactate dehydrogenase, or C-reactive protein. However, more frequently observed a p53 deletion than those without such (P 0.01). The overall rate for all evaluable induction 58) 67%. 87% but only 54% Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed that had shorter (median, 33 months) (median not reached; P 0.04). These data show an important marker drug predicts poor MM.
