摘要: Abstract Objectives Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is a central mediator of the effects stress on neuronal plasticity. Patients with subjective insomnia have significantly lower serum BDNF (sBDNF) levels. The aims present study were to investigate associations sBDNF with, 1) and 2) objective sleep; 3) between dimensions psychopathology, sleep sBDNF, 4) insomnia, cortisol. Methods 60 patients (IG; mean age: 40.4 years; 48.3% females) 30 healthy, age gender-matched controls (CG) took part in study. Subjective was assessed using Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), once via sleep-EEG recordings. Both salivary cortisol sampled following morning. Last, experts rated participants’ symptoms depression anxiety. Results IG than CG (large effect size; Hedge's g = 1.75), while higher scores, but not or anxiety ratings, predicted Concerning sleep, low did correlate continuity measures, decreased REM-sleep; latter also characteristic IG. morning unrelated. Conclusions Independently anxiety, appears be biomarker for clinical diagnosis objectively poor continuity. A possible link seems regulation REM-sleep,
