摘要: Background:  Hypertension is one of the important clinical problems diabetic cardiovascular disease. The aim this study was to determine effect vitamin E on blood pressure parameters and adhesive molecule amounts in rats. Methods:  Twenty-four male Wistar rats were divided into three groups (each n = 8): controls (C), non-treated (NTD), treated (VETD) groups. A single intraperitoneal injection buffered streptozotocin (60 mg/kg) cold sodium citrate (pH 4.5) used induce diabetes. VETD group received 300 mg daily intragastrically for 6 weeks. Systolic diastolic pressure, mean arterial as well dicrotic crest time, systolic periods, plasma levels intercellular adhesion molecule-1 E-selectin measured after 6 weeks. Results:  results revealed that there a significant increase pressures, duration, amount sICAM-1 rats. There no difference heart rate or cardiac cyclic duration among different Significant improvement attenuation elevated ICAM-1 found group. Conclusions:  These findings indicate significantly improved elevation these effects could be associated with reducing antioxidant properties E.
