摘要: Abstract Objective Although contour analysis of pulse waves has been proposed as a non-invasive means in assessing arterial stiffness atherosclerosis, accurate determination the conventional parameters is usually precluded by distorted waveforms aged and atherosclerotic objects. We aimed at testing reliable indices these patient populations. Methods Digital volume (DVP) curve was obtained from 428 subjects recruited health screening program single medical center January 2007 to July 2008. Demographic data, blood pressure, for including wave velocity (PWV), crest time (CT), index (SI), reflection (RI) were recorded. Two normalized (NCT) ratio (CTR) also analysed compared with known parameters. Results Though ambiguity dicrotic notch an two key (i.e. SI RI), NCT CTR unaffected because sum CT T DVP duration between systolic diastolic peak) tended remain constant. correlated significantly age, PWV, RI (all P Conclusion not only showed significant positive correlations assessment atherosclerosis SI, RI, PWV), but they are particular value degree indiscernible peak that precludes use waveform analysis.
