摘要: Musty and earthy odors frequently characterize the source water fish of Xionghe Reservoir in China. Although odorous compounds odor-producing cyanobacteria have been analyzed surface water, potential odorants sediments their contribution to body remained uninvestigated. In this study, we examined possible odor-producers overlying from November 2007 October 2008. High concentrations geosmin (up 5280.1 ng kg(-1) dw(-1)) were detected sediments, eight strains Streptomyces isolated verified as producers and/or 2-MIB M liquid medium by HSPME-GC-MS. Geosmin correlated with those (r = 0.838, p <0.05). vitro studies showed that was released sediment, within 12 days amount sediment 21.4-51.4%. Concentrations positively organic matter 0.642, <0.01), total nitrogen 0.606, <0.01) Chi a 0.674, < 0.01), negatively associated temperature -0.425, This study indicates are should be taken into account when assessing sources these waters.
