摘要: The prevalence of patients with acute severe asthma appears to be increasing in many countries. In the present review, we summarize data literature relating prevention and treatment fatality-prone asthmatics. underlying assumption is that increased understanding near-fatal will increase our pathophysiology asthma, lead interventions could reduce mortality rate from asthma. Recognition life-threatening attacks by any physician mandatory, since lack such diagnosis appropriate has been shown have devastating consequences. characteristics allow identification asthmatics prone die ambulatory settings (i.e. previous admissions, type therapy, etc.) as well principal precipitating factors fatal are reviewed. Predisposing factors, treatment, compliance or poor preventive measures debated. Finally, discuss current therapeutic approaches emergency facilities, based on major pathophysiological findings
