摘要: Abstract Porous anodic oxide formation on an Al-1.4wt%Fe alloy containing finely dispersed Al 6 Fe particles has been examined by transmission electron microscopy of ultramicrotomed sections, with particular attention directed towards the local film over particles. It was found that phases involves initial oxidation aluminium and interfacial enrichment iron, confined to a thin layer, about 1–2 nm thick, in phase immediately beneath oxide. With EDX analysis, using probe 0.8 diameter, composition iron-enriched layer determined be 80 20 . Additionally, close examination ultra-high resolution microscope, revealed heavily distorted structure occasional presence ordered domains, only 1 structure. No evidence obtained suggest nano-sized iron clusters enriched layer. These observations are discussed terms Gibbs free energy criteria for proposed recently several authors.
