Basic Limitation of Scintillation Counters in Time Measurements

摘要: The time resolution of a scintillation detector can be calculated from the scintillator illumination function, and response photomultiplier to an instantaneous pulse light. Such calculations using parameters present scintillators photomultipliers agree with measured resolutions predict improvements which achieved. Parameters commercial some promising experimental fast are given, as well measurements on transit spread photomultipliers.
