摘要: The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the value altimetry data in high-precision satellite orbit determination. To accomplish this, software developed process laser, C-band, doppler and altimeter singly or jointly. Initially, determination studies were undertaken using synthetic validate software. As became available, preliminary experiments carried out. When all an intensive study made covering a 4-day span 1976. results showed that even with sparse it possible accurately determine semimajor axis eccentricity only. supplemented (as few as) two C-band passes, ephemerides obtained. Using laser passes supplement did not achieve same high precision. This is probably because geographic location (mid-Atlantic) highly accurate such they ideally complement available (south Atlantic Indian Ocean) data.
