摘要: Neotropic bats comprise a highly species-rich group andare consid eredimportant regulators of complex ecological processes. Resource partitioning roosts andfoodis ereda key element in shaping bat communities. In this paper we examine the roosting patterns 10 species belonging to neotropical community Bolivian savanna. Roosts were more common open woodlands than forest islands and human settlements. woodlands, Tabebuia heptaphylla comprisedthe largest proportion trees, whereas islands, Gallesia integrifolia was most important tree for phyllostomid bats. By comparing active with control holes heptaphylla, foundthat roost site selection by Noctilio albiventris mainly based on diameter inner width cavities. The earlier results are discussed view resource within savanna communities andtheir practical conservation. # 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
