摘要: Many species of human pathogenic fungi secrete proteases in vitro or during the infection process. Secreted endoproteases belong to aspartic pepsin family, serine subtilisin and metalloproteases two different families. To these has be added non-pepsin-type protease from Aspergillus niger a unique chymotrypsin-like Coccidioides immitis. Pathogenic also aminopeptidases, carboxypeptidases dipeptidyl-peptidases. The function fungal secreted their importance infections vary. It is evident that are important for virulence dermatophytes since grow exclusively stratum corneum, nails hair, which constitutes sole nitrogen carbon sources. by Candida albicans involved adherence process penetration tissues, interactions with immune system infected host. For fumigatus, role proteolytic activity not yet been proved. Although have intensively investigated as potential factors, knowledge on substrate specificities rather poor few studies focused research inhibitors. Knowledge will increase our understanding about action each help determine contribution virulence.
