摘要: The clinical and pathologic features of 30 ovarian mixed germ cell tumors (neoplasms containing combinations malignant elements) were studied to determine their behavior compare them with pure forms tumors. Dysgerminoma was the most common constituent, found in 24 (80%), followed by endodermal sinus tumor 21 (70%), teratoma 16 (53%), choriocarcinoma 6 (20%), embryonal carcinoma 5 (16%). actuarial survival for entire group 46%, patients Stage I it 50%. important factors predicting prognosis disease size histologic composition neoplasm. If more than one-third a neoplasm composed tumor, choriocarcinoma, or Grade 3 teratoma, poor, whereas if contained less these components dysgerminoma, carcinoma, 1 2 excellent. All whose 10 cm maximum diameter survived, regardless tumor. Positive pregnancy tests nonpregnant reflected presence either frank scattered syncytiotrophoblastic giant cells. latter did not appear alter prognosis. finding elevated serum levels human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) 38% suggested that serial assays hCG might be useful staging monitoring response treatment patients.
