摘要: The Rosaceae contains many economically important crop species, but their genomes are not well characterized, and comparative genetic mapping lags behind that of other families. To facilitate genome comparisons gene discovery in the Rosaceae, we have begun development genomic resources for peach as model this family. First, developed a simplified, cost-effective method constructing BAC libraries, particularly appropriate plant species relatively minor economic importance. Second, used library to investigate abundance local distribution simple sequence repeats (SSRs) peach. Our results indicate microsatellite loci locally much more highly abundant than previously estimated, sequencing suggest randomly distributed within gene-containing regions genome. This makes it easy identify SSRs by hybridization clones, even random known priori contain SSRs.
