摘要: It is well established that the brain particularly susceptible to oxidative damage due its high consumption of oxygen and astrocytes are involved in a variety important activities for nervous system, including protective role against induced by reactive species (ROS). The use antioxidant compounds, such as polyphenol resveratrol found red wine, improve endogenous defenses has been proposed neural protection. aim this study evaluate putative effect acute H2O2-induced stress astrocyte cultures, evaluating ROS production, glutamate uptake activity, glutathione content S100B secretion. Our results confirm ability counteract caused H2O2, not only properties, but also through modulation glial functions, improving increasing stimulating secretion, which all contribute functional recovery after injury.
