摘要: Abstract The red lionfish Pterois volitans is important not only in the aquarium trade but also as an invasive species western Atlantic. Introduced to waters off southeastern coast of United States, have rapidly spread along much East Coast and throughout Bermuda, Bahamas, Caribbean. Hematology plasma biochemistry were evaluated captured from offshore North Carolina establish baseline parameters for individual population health assessment. Blood smears total differential white blood cell counts, routine clinical biochemical profiles performed on samples. To improve interpretive value profiles, tissue enzyme activities (alkaline phosphatase [ALP], alanine aminotransferase [ALT], aspartate [AST], γ glutamyl transferase [GGT], lactate dehydrogenase [LD], creatine kinase [CK]) analyzed liver, kidney, skeletal mu...
