摘要: Herbivorous insects use sensory cues to choose their host plants for feeding and/or oviposition by assessing quality. Olfactory, contact and visual of the mediate such choices. The right-host choice a lepidopteran is essential performance its progeny. In natural conditions, are often concurrently attacked both herbivorous pathogenic fungi. three-way relationship, interaction between plant insect usually influenced fungal population, an influence can be either mutualistic or antagonistic. present study, we tested relationship using system, Epiphyas postvittana–Vitis vinifera–Botrytis cinerea. We sought answers questions: (1) whether females E. postvittana prefer oviposit on V. vinifera leaves infected B. cinerea; (2) larvae feed B. cinerea. found that host-seeking gravid ‘tested’ infection status olfactory, visual, tactile cues; in consequence, they laid significantly fewer eggs moderately (30–60%) intensely (90–100%) V. vinifera. neonate preferred mildly (5–10%) leaves, as against uninfected (control) showed no preference leaves. External internal examination established fed B. cinerea-infected leaf because viable conidia B. cinerea occurred body surface within gut larvae.
