摘要: Crush injuries of the hand are a rare but devastating phenomenon, with historically poor outcomes. A compressive force, usually caused by high-energy mechanism such as motor vehicle or industrial accident, crushes and transiently increases pressures within hand. This force acts on incompressible blood in vasculature leads to dramatic rise tissue damage multiple types, including bones, vessels, nerves, soft tissues. wide zone injury results from delayed inflammatory reaction involving bordering crushed cells, which may initially belie severity injury. As such, these go produce tremendous inflammation swelling, potentially followed compartment syndrome other vascular damage, infection, neurological injury, and necrosis. minimal skin disruptions can be particularly challenging accurately diagnose manage. paper provides review initial evaluation crush well short- long-term management strategies.
