摘要: To test how accurately baseline audiometric data predict detection of complex stimuli, absolute thresholds for frequency-modulated (FM), amplitude-modulated (AM), and harmonic stimuli were obtained one Phoca vitulina (harbor seal) Zalophus californianus (California sea lion) at frequencies spanning the functional range hearing. These then compared with a priori predictions based on tonal audiograms these subjects. Predicted accurate most FM signals AM California lion. Predictions unreliable both species harbor seal.
