Employment impacts of CDM projects in China's power sector

摘要: There are continuous debates around the question of whether CDM really contributes to sustainable development (SD) in host countries. Employment impact is an essential indicator SD. Based on input-out approach this research builds a quantitative assessment model evaluate employment impacts CDM. Both direct and indirect jobs creation job losses projects power sector registered by end 2011 calculated project types grids where located. Results study show that, although above mentioned causes about 99,000 net losses, they also create 3.08 million jobs, resulting gross be 2.98 million. Thereof, hydro induce both which comes approximately 0.89 Solar have most potential since own highest created one GWh generation, 104 jobs/GWh.
