Evidence of a Relationship Between Plasma Leptin, Not Nesfatin-1, and Craving in Male Alcohol-Dependent Patients After Abstinence.

摘要: The goal of this study was to determine whether the plasma leptin, nesfatin-1, cortisol, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and inflammatory cytokines could be used as potential biomarkers for degree craving in alcohol-dependent patients after 1 month abstinence. A total 83 with alcohol use disorder (AUD) 61 healthy subjects were assessed. Patients AUD selected from Department Material Dependence, Anhui Mental Health Center, control group volunteers. Alcohol Urge questionnaire Scale (AUQ) evaluate extent alcohol, Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test (MAST), Fagerstrom Nicotine Dependence (FTND), Self-Rating Anxiety (SAS), Depression (SDS) also assessed AUD. Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) measurement BDNF, Interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels. Compare controls, average leptin/BMI, IL-6, CRP, TNF-α levels significantly increased, while BDNF decreased. Moreover, partial correlational analysis showed that AUQ scores positively correlated leptin (r = 0.613, P < 0.001), rather than nesfatin-1 0.066, 0.569) controlling age covariate.
