摘要: Two aspects of stretched flame dynamics are investigated via the model problem stabilization andgeometry Bunsen flames. Specifically, possibility stabilizing a without heat loss to burner rim is experimentally by examining temperature rim, gradient between and base, standoff distance base in relation thickness. Results show that, while still dominant mechanism for flames uniform flows strong parabolic flows, adiabatic and, subsequently, blowoff indeed possible weak flows. The adiabatically stabilized then modeled using scalar field formulation allowing effects curvature aerodynamic straining on local speed. calculated configuration agrees well with experiment but not nonadiabatic flame. further that active modification cause maintain stabilization. Implications present results turbulent modeling discussed.
